Water tanks flowing at Mukinbudin District High School

Mukinbudin District High School is a waterwise school. Given the dry area of the eastern wheatbelt they determined that conserving water would also mean conserving dollars .

This is where Mukinbudin Community Bank® Branch comes in. A close partnership with the school saw the branch identify that the collection of rain water could save the school anywhere up to $10,000 a year.

The expense of getting tanks to their remote location was prohibitive. The branch committed $9,840 to buy and install water tanks at the school and improve their sustainability in to the future.

Mukinbudin District High School is looking forward to utilising this investment in 2016, with the summer rains already filling tanks.
