The Sunbury Branch, located at 22 Brook Street, opened its doors to the community in September 2006. Before then, the community banked with the Bendigo Bank through an agency located in town.
Unlike a Community Bank, our branch is owned by the company, but we do have a point of difference. When you choose to be a Sunbury branch customer, you not only make a decision that benefits you, you also make one that benefits your community and Sunbury's Helping Hand Enterprise.
That's because with every savings or investment account, every home or personal loan, and every product or service we offer, part of our profits go back into our communities to support local projects, groups and organisations through Sunbury's Helping Hand Enterprise.
It's not a new thing; it's simply who we are and what we believe in.
And it's a simple equation. We think that Bendigo Bank can only be successful if our customers and our communities are successful first.
It means that as a customer you not only benefit from a great range of competitive products and the friendly service we're all so well known for, you also get a sense of satisfaction knowing your banking is contributing to your community.
Sunbury Helping Hand
Sunbury's Helping Hand is the Community Enterprise partner of Bendigo Bank Sunbury and gives all of us the power to make a good idea happen, to direct money to projects and activities that we choose and need, and to provide support and facilities for our young people, our families or the elderly.
Most of all, Sunbury's Helping Hand means important decisions remain in our own hands. We decide where our money is spent in Sunbury and when.
Whether it's scholarships for young people, transport for the elderly and isolated, sporting facilities, or individual projects for community health and wellbeing – Sunbury's helping Hand lets us make these projects a reality.
