Applications are encouraged from Indigenous peoples, people living with a disability, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and those who identify as LGBTQA+.
Applications open annually on 1 December, and close 31 January.
Regional and Rural Scholarship for University and TAFE
Applications open 1st December
This scholarship aims to assist disadvantaged, community minded, first-time students entering their first year of study at University or TAFE. If you're from a rural or regional area, contribute to your local community and have been offered a place for higher education, this might be for you.
Value and duration

University - $6,500 per year, for 2 years

TAFE - $5,000 per year, for 2 years
What do I need to know?

Open to students under the age of 25, who are Australian citizens or permanent residents and living in rural or regional Australia.

First time, first year students studying full-time at University or full or part time at TAFE can apply.

Study can be on campus and or/online.

University study at undergraduate bachelor’s degree level only.

TAFE study at full time or competency-based completion (apprenticeships) certificate, diploma, or advanced diploma level only.

Any subject can be studied provided that is an approved Australian course.

You can demonstrate community involvement and a passion for supporting rural communities both now and into the future.

You can demonstrate challenging circumstances hindering your ability to undertake further study.
Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Scholarship for University and TAFE

This scholarship aims to assist Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander first year University and TAFE students that are experiencing challenging circumstances. If you demonstrate a passion for local leadership, and have a desire to support your community through future study, this might be for you.

Agribusiness Scholarship for University and TAFE
Applications open 1st December
This scholarship aims to assist first year, first time University and TAFE students studying an agricultural or agribusiness related course. If you are passionate about the Australian rural landscape, and are experiencing challenging circumstances, this might be for you.

University - $6,000 per year, for 2 years.

Open to students of any age, who are Australian citizens or permanent residents living anywhere in Australia.

Only agricultural or agribusiness related courses can be studied, providing that it is an approved Australian course.

Accommodation
Yes, it's covered. This scholarship supports accommodation costs, reducing the financial burden of paying rent.
Study resources
Books and computers are a must for you to get through your studies, so it makes sense for these must-have items to be covered. Education related travel within Australia is also covered.
Course fee
Yes, this scholarship can be used to cover course fees.
Deferring
Scholarship funds cannot be put on lay-by so if you’re planning a gap year you’ll have to wait to apply.
Studied before?
Our Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander scholarships are for first year students, who may have studied at University or TAFE prior.
Our Regional and Rural, and Agribusiness scholarships are for first time, first year students only.
Mature aged?
Our Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander scholarships are for first year students of any age, who may have attended university or TAFE prior.
Our Agribusiness scholarships are for first year, first time students of any age.
Work part-time?
The study and work life balance can be quite a juggle and we know that part-time work is essential to get by, so if you're studying full-time at University, or full/part time for TAFE, this scholarship is for you.
