Driving success – Cairns Golf Club

18 August 2023

For a single innovation to save a business 30 hours of labour a week, would seem as rare as a hole-in-one.

But Matt Bolton, General Manager of Cairns Golf Club in Far North Queensland, had a plan he knew would revolutionise the business. To make the idea a reality, Cairns Golf Club would need a loan. And they had the foresight to look for a bank that could understand the business from the ground up, share their vision, and stay on par with their needs. “Golf is our bread and butter,” explains Matt.

That’s why Matt and the Cairns Golf Club board turned to their local Bendigo Bank business banker. “Right from day one, they made us feel like our business mattered,” says Matt.

A Bendigo Bank loan provided Cairns Golf Club with the ability to invest in infrastructure to improve their golf course and gave them the flexibility they needed.

So just what was the development which saved Matt and the team so much time, that it “changed the club’s trajectory for the next 30 years”?
