We're merging

As of 18 May 2020, the Noranda Community Bank branch and Bayswater Community Bank branch, both operated by Bayswater Community Financial Services Ltd, will consolidate their operations. This will mean the closure of the Noranda branch effective from 15th May 2020 at 2 p.m.

This decision was not taken lightly. The nature of banking is changing rapidly with fewer people using cash for transactions and more people carrying out their banking online.

The cost of operating two full-service branches in such close proximity to each other is a significant cost with duplication of effort, despite fewer customers choosing to visit our branches.

Bayswater Community Financial Services exists largely to return profits to our community in the form of grants, sponsorships and scholarships. In taking this decision we will ensure that we continue to do so and support our community.

Our existing Noranda customers remain a valued customer of Bayswater Community Financial Services Ltd and do not have to take any action as a result of this closure. Customers can continue to conduct their banking and use their cards as they do now. If customers wish to conduct any banking face to face, they can continue to do so at our Bayswater branch at 14 King William Street.

We regret any negative impact this difficult decision may have on customers and commit to working with them to ease any inconvenience.

We will continue to support initiatives and groups throughout the City of Bayswater as we have always done, including those in Noranda.
