In addition to the Telegraphic Transfer fee charged by Bendigo Bank, transfer of Australian dollars or foreign currency from any Bendigo and Adelaide Bank account may incur a handling or acceptance fee by intermediary bank(s), and / or the accepting bank (the amounts of which are not disclosed to us).

These fees may be deducted from the total funds originally remitted resulting in the recipient receiving less than the original amount sent. You may wish to consider this when determining the amount of your payment.

Fees charged could include and are not limited to:

• Fees charged by overseas intermediary (correspondent) banks that facilitate your international payment. An estimated average fee is AUD 25 (or currency equivalent) but could be up to an estimated AUD 50* (or currency equivalent). *indication only
• Fees charged by your recipient’s overseas bank (beneficiary bank)

Here is an example

You request the GBP equivalent of $1,000 to be sent to a family member living in the UK via Telegraphic Transfer through Bendigo Bank. You can do this through e-banking or a branch.

In this example the AUD/GBP conversion rate is 0.5400. Fees that will/may apply are:

• TT fee of $30
• Intermediary fee of GBP12
• Beneficiary bank fee of GBP5 (indication only)

Let's break that down:

1. A Telegraphic Transfer is made through e-banking for GBP540 ($1,000 x 0.5400)
2. $1,030 is debited from your AUD bank account ($1,000 + $30 TT fee)
3. GBP523 is received by your family member in their UK bank account (GBP540 less GBP12 Intermediary bank fee and GBP5* beneficiary bank fee)
