After providing some of the initial needs to the community, including temporary accommodation and shelter for their remaining possessions, Rotary Clubs quickly stepped to deliver caravans and storage containers. With refurbished caravans rolling out across the state, families now have a place to call home while they begin the recovery and rebuilding process.
Rotary has delivered:
- Bikes, to the value of $3,000, to support the Mallacoota Secondary College’s Bike Skills and Safety Program;
- Caravans, to the value of $83,000, to provide temporary accommodation to impacted families;
- Storage containers, to the value of $165,000, to provide safe storage of personal items;
- Griefline grant of $100,000 to fund the G’Day Project for Bushfire survivors and first responders experiencing loneliness and isolation.
