7 January 2003 |Media centre

Bendigo Bank's insurance arm has donated $5515 to the Farmhand appeal for Australia's drought-affected farmers.

This represents $5 from every insurance policy written or updated during December.

Bendigo Bank Insurance Manager Len Rodda said 1003 new and updated policies had been written across the bank’s branch network for the month.

"We were delighted with the response and we thank our customers for their support.

"The national Farmhand Appeal is a fantastic initiative aimed at helping farming families to get through these difficult times and Bendigo Bank is pleased to be able to assist."
