The annual poll of more than 1,000 Australian farmers cements Bendigo Bank’s longstanding reputation as a trusted agribusiness brand, with more than 160 years of history in regional and rural Australia.
Chief Marketing Officer Sarah Bateson said the accolade was a testament to the Bank’s strong customer focus and deep connection with regional and rural Australia.
“This award is a recognition of our quality products and personalised service. Customers are at the centre of everything we do at Bendigo Bank, and we thank our agribusiness customers for the trust they place in us every day,” Ms Bateson said.
With a network of more than 400 branches, Bendigo Bank has the second-largest regional branch network in the country, with more branches per customer than any other bank, and is the last Bank in town in almost 100 communities.
"Bendigo Bank is Australia’s only regionally headquartered ASX 100 company. More than half our branches are in regional and remote locations and around half of our people call regional Australia home,” Ms Bateson said.
“I’m so proud of our agribusiness specialists, branch staff and team members who work hard every day to deliver good outcomes for our customers.”
Bendigo Bank was founded on the Victorian goldfields in 1858 and its longstanding purpose to feed into the prosperity of its customers and the community remains unchanged. The Bank has grown to serve more than 2.9 million customers and continues to be headquartered in Bendigo, Victoria.
