In 2023 we decided, after careful consideration, to sell Bendigo Superannuation. This decision was not taken lightly, and it was determined to be in the best interests of our members and the Bank.

On 1 September 2024, Bendigo Superannuation was successfully acquired by Betashares and is now part of the Betashares Group.

Change of ownership update for Bendigo Super

August 2024

On 21 August 2024, Bendigo Super members were emailed an update confirming the sale of Bendigo Super to Betashares. Members were notified of upcoming changes to how they can contact Bendigo Super or seek help on their Bendigo Super account following the change of ownership from Bendigo and Adelaide Bank to Betashares.

Update on the sale of Bendigo Super to Betashares

December 2023

On 11 December 2023, Bendigo Super members were emailed an update on the proposed sale of Bendigo Super to Betashares. Further information was provided about Betashares’ background and expertise, reassuring members their super savings will continue to be managed by experienced professionals.

Important update to The Bendigo Superannuation Plan

October 2023

On 2 October 2023, Bendigo Super members were notified that Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Ltd announced it had signed an agreement to sell Bendigo Superannuation Pty Ltd to Betashares Australia Holdings Pty Ltd, subject to certain conditions and regulatory approval.

The Bank issued a media statement- external site on 27 September 2023 announcing that the Bank’s decision was a result of a review that considered the interests and needs of Bendigo Super members, and the future investment required in the business. The decision to sell was also in line with the Bank’s ongoing objective of reducing complexity.

Yes, your logon details to Bendigo SmartStart Online remain the same. You can register or logon to your secure online account at betashares.com.au/super.

No, as Bendigo Super is no longer owned by Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, your super balance will no longer be visible on Bendigo Bank e-banking or the Bendigo Bank app. Please visit betashares.com.au/super to register or logon to your secure online account.
