Get a better understanding of your borrowing position

  • Find out how much you could borrow
  • Peace of mind that it won't affect your credit rating
  • Overview of stamp duty and other costs, not just mortgage repayments

Pre-qualify to start your home buying journey

Our pre-qualification tool is more than just a calculator, giving you a personalised understanding of your borrowing position. You don't need any paperwork. Unlike pre-approval, we don't complete a credit check so your credit rating isn't affected.

  • 1
Pre-qualify to know your actual borrowing power.
  • 2
Submit your home loan application in branch or apply online.
  • 3
All going well, you receive full approval to purchase your home.

What does pre-qualifying involve?

It's a quick-and-easy process to allow you to better understand your lending position, prior to applying for a home loan.

In only a few minutes, we'll estimate your borrowing costs, including stamp duty, lenders mortgage insurance (LMI) and any applicable first home buyer incentives for each State. You may also be eligible for government support to purchase a home.

You'll get a personalised home lending summary delivered straight to your inbox. We'll also give you a follow up call to answer any questions and guide you through your next steps

Please note, if you are self-employed or there are more than two borrowers, please call us on 1300 236 344.

Am I eligible?

To pre-qualify you must be:

  • 18 years old or over
  • Seeking a loan for personal use and not for business or commercial purposes
  • Employed and/or have a regular income source (at least one borrower for a joint loan)
  • Looking to borrow less than $2.5 million

If you are looking to borrow more than $2.5 million to purchase a property, you will need to call us on 03 5485 7932

What will I need?

This isn't a pre-approval, so you don't need to provide any paperwork and we won't do a credit check.

To give you a real estimate of your eligibility and any borrowing costs we will need some general details about you and the property including:

  • Your name and contact details
  • Your income, expenses and liabilities
  • Details of the property you've found, or;
  • The type of property you hope to buy.

Not the right tool, right now?

Buying a home is a big step. Depending on where you are in your current home buying journey you might need a different kind of support.
