Easy Money card upgrade

Frequently asked questions

About Easy Money card upgrade program

As part of our commitment to offer our customers more value, we have conducted a comprehensive review of our debit card products. As a result, Easy Money card will be replaced with the new Debit Mastercard. With a great range of new features, we think you’ll agree your upgrade to the Debit Mastercard is something to get excited about.

The Debit Mastercard allows you to continue using their card as you do now, with the added benefits of:

  • Online shopping
  • Tap & Go™
  • Overseas card access with even more security

Bendigo Bank will look after the whole process. All you need to do is ensure your contact details are up to date and activate your new card when it arrives.

Communications will be sent in multiple stages, beginning in June 2023.

Using Card Controls in your e-banking app, you can toggle off certain transaction types (online, international etc) and some merchant types (gambling, video games etc). You can find more information at manage my transactions page.

Card activation

You will receive a notice from us first, then in around 30-45 days you will see your new card arrive in the mail.

Simply follow the instructions on the card mailer to activate your card and start spending.

You should activate your card as soon as you receive it to ensure you don’t lose card access to your account.

Bendigo Bank will close this off for you. You will just be required to dispose of the card.

PIN setup

Yes, you will be required to set a new PIN when you activate the card.

You can set any PIN number you wish on your new card. We suggest this is a completely new PIN for security purposes.
