Our Branch

Feeling the need for a local bank in Nightcliff‚ a group of interested community members met with Bendigo Bank on 26 August‚ 2005 to discuss the prospect of establishing Nightcliff Community Bank® Branch. After serious consideration of the proposal‚ this group moved forward to become a committed steering committee that set about gaining the support of local residents and businesses.

Residents and visitors alike will remember seeing this devoted group in various locations‚ such as the local Nightcliff and Rapid Creek Markets or along the beautiful Nightcliff foreshore‚ spreading the Community Bank® story and distributing flyers seeking pledges of support.

In 2007‚ after gaining considerable support‚ the steering committee engaged an independent consultant‚ AFS & Associates‚ to conduct a feasibility study in relation to the proposed Community Bank® branch. The results of the feasibility study were presented to the committee at a meeting held on 24 October‚ 2007 and a unanimous vote secured the future of the Nightcliff Community Bank® Branch.

Some members of the steering committee were formally elected as the first Board of Directors‚ ready to open the Nightcliff Community Bank® Branch in the Progress Drive Shopping Mall in September 2008.

Recently celebrating their 2nd birthday‚ Nightcliff Community Bank® Branch continues to grow within the community. Donations and sponsorships have been awarded to local schools‚ sporting and disability organisations totalling more than $10‚000 since opening our doors. Branch staff and directors continue to remain active within the community‚ volunteering their time to support local organisations.

In October 2010‚ Nightcliff Community Bank® Branch facilitated a community forum where representatives from local business and community groups were invited to share their ideas and suggestions for their community.

The dynamic and friendly team at the Nightcliff Community Bank® Branch‚ who were recently awarded the Bendigo Bank Branch of the Year for SA/NT in 2009/10‚ is waiting to assist you with all your banking needs.
