John loves being a Noosa local

There’s a saying – “Home is not where you are from, it’s where you belong.”

For John Hague it’s that simple. Starting this month as the new Mobile Relationship Manager here at the Tewantin Community Bank® branch, he has arrived as advertised - bright, positive and ready to make a difference.

Following the retirement of Wayne Hoens at the end of September, John is looking forward to taking our branch to the next level. It looks like we’ll be in good hands as he brings 30 years’ experience to the role.

“I suppose you could say I’ve had some great opportunities during my career in banking but I’m looking forward to the best chapter being right here in Tewantin.” John said.

“I’ve enjoyed working with a number of successful banks and heading up insurance and credit teams. My banking experience has allowed me the opportunity of being in senior management roles dealing with multi-million dollar enterprises to working with local companies.”

“Providing a place to interact, rather than taking for granted that the electronic age meets everyone’s requirements is what it is all about. It’s taking time to know your customers and what they want from their banking relationship. No-one does that like Bendigo Bank and I’m already feeling right at home here at the Tewantin Community Bank® branch.” he added.

John and his wife, Tania proudly call Peregian Beach home where they love their beach and café lifestyle.

“I’ve been well aware of the amazing work the Tewantin, Cooroy and Pomona Community Bank® branches have been doing in our Noosa community. Wayne and the team at Tewantin are passionate about the difference a Community Bank® can continue to make. I’m cut from the same cloth and now have the opportunity to advance that work. Community banking is just amazing – giving local people a real say in their own future simply by doing your banking.

“I’m excited about what lies ahead. Kerri and the rest of the team and I are all locals. We’re a full-service bank and I think that counts for a lot as the distance between banks and customers with our competitors. We’ve given back more than $700,000 back to local community groups, sporting clubs and schools and live by the saying; bank with us and everybody benefits.” John concluded.

The Tewantin Community Bank® branch is located at 105 Poinciana Ave and is open 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. You can also call John and the team directly on 5440 5289.
