Paying out your personal loan
The outstanding amount owing on your personal loan must be repaid in full and all funds cleared before the loan can be closed. Once the loan has been closed and all funds are cleared, Bendigo Bank will release its interest over any motor vehicle security supporting the loan.
A payout figure will supply the exact amount needed to repay your loan. To obtain a payout figure for the date1 you wish to repay your loan, telephone 1300 236 344, or contact your local branch. Any fees2 payable will be included in the payout figure.
Two options apply for paying out your personal loan depending on the payment method. Both options will require the Bendigo Bank Branch Advisor confirming your payout figure in case there have been transactions made to the loan since obtaining the first payout figure.
1. Phone a Bendigo Bank branch
If you are transferring the payout amount by e-banking from a Bendigo Bank transaction or savings account with the same customer number as your personal loan, the payout and closure can be completed by phoning your local Bendigo Bank Branch. If your identification can be verified over the phone, you can then make the transfer by e-banking and the loan will be closed.
2. Visit a Bendigo Bank branch
If you intend to use a payment method of cheque or transferring of funds from an account with a different customer number to the personal loan, you will need to visit the Branch to enable the funds to be transferred and your loan closed. Before you visit, contact your local branch to obtain details of all requirements.

Paying out your home loan
The outstanding amount owing on your home loan will need to be repaid in full and funds cleared before the account can be closed.
For home loans being paid out due to a sale or refinance settlement, we will supply you with an indicative payout quote. The exact payout figure will be provided on the morning of settlement.
If your home loan is being closed and no settlement is needed, an exact payout figure can be supplied three days prior to the date you intend to payout and close your home loan account.
Note: For a Home Equity facility, a payout figure is only available on the day of closure due to the fluctuating nature of line of credit facilities.
To obtain an indicative payout quote, or an exact payout figure for the date1 you wish to fully repay your home loan, contact your local branch or Relationship Manager. Any fees2 payable will be included in the payout figure.
Closing your personal overdraft

All signatories to the account will need to attend the branch bringing identification (such as a driver’s license or government proof of age card) with them.
The branch will arrange for you to complete and sign related forms and confirm the payout figure in case there have been any transactions made to the account since you obtained your first payout figure. Any fees2 payable will be included in the payout figure.
