Changing the Baton
Tracey Bainger is the Branch Manager at Community Bank Robe & Districts .
Coming from a background in finance and insurance in Adelaide, Tracey’s first exposure to banking was right here at the Robe Branch. It all started many years ago, when she met local farmer Charlie Bainger through a mutual friend. And after a bit of time dating, Tracey packed her bags and made the bold move to the coast.
Tracey's began as a Customer Service Officer and later ventured into lending as a Customer Relationship Officer.
“The Bendigo Bank network offers many opportunities to further your career and are supportive of local growth. But once I had discovered the power of local community banking, I couldn’t see myself straying from Robe.”
Tracey sees her major strengths as accountability to our customers and community. “We are seeing more and more banking institutions close their doors and restrict trading hours in rural communities. To me, the whole community banking model makes sense. And once people hear how their banking benefits their local community, then it starts to make sense to our customers, new and existing, too.”
As the Branch Manager, Tracey strives for success, supports her staff in their endeavours both in and out of the workplace. This creates a great working environment for the team. Tracey inspires others, challenges us with new ideas, leads by example and strives to get positive outcomes for customers.
Community Bank Robe & Districts staff are getting excited about a major change within the Branch.
We are very thrilled to announce that our Branch Manager Tracey Bainger and her husband Charlie are expecting their first baby in April. Whilst bets are on for pink or blue, the Board and staff wish them both well as they become their own little family.
There will be a change in staff positions in the branch for Tracey’s maternity leave, this will see Robbie Chappel move to the Acting Branch Manager.
Visits to Lucindale on Tuesdays, and Kingston on Wednesdays will continue. With Pauline Williams and staff maintaining the Kingston Agency.
Our lending staff Robbie Chappel, Sharon Hondow and Jack Sneath will continue delivering results. Our front line staff of Lonny Peel, Emma Brooks, Sophie Kokiousis and Kelly Burton will continue to provide great customer service.
As a result in the last 17 years the Board have approved over $450,000 in sponsorship's for the Robe, Kingston, Lucindale and Beachport communities.
We thank our Shareholders for starting the Community Bank back in October 2003. Making it possible for future community groups, business and personal customers to enjoy the benefits of Community Banking.
