FXgo® prepaid travel card

The Bendigo Bank FXgo® prepaid travel card will be retired on 28 September 2022 and is no longer being sold.


If I visit a country that is not supported by one of the currencies on the FXgo® card, how can I still use the card?

If you are using the card in a country that is not supported by one of the currencies on the card, it will use your AUD wallet to complete the transaction and convert it into the required currency. If you don’t have any funds in the AUD wallet, the system will transfer from one of the other wallets into the AUD wallet to complete the transaction.

Can I temporarily block my FXgo card if it is stolen or misplaced?

You can temporarily block your card using the app or on the website via the Deactivate/Reactive option. If you are unable to locate your card you will need to contact us on 1300 790 065 in Australia or +61 3 5485 7899 overseas to arrange it to be closed so you can activate your back up card.

What if I forget my PIN?

PIN reveal option is available on the FXgo® website under ‘Additional Services’.

How do I reset my PIN?

You can reset your PIN using the app via ‘My Profile’, on the website under ‘Additional Services’ and by calling 1300 790 065 in Australia or +61 3 5485 7899 overseas and follow the prompts.

You can reset your password using the app via ‘My Profile’ or on the website under ‘Additional Services’ and follow the prompts.

Can the FXgo® card be used in Australia?

Yes, you can use your FXgo® card in Australia for ATM transactions, EFTPOS and online. See fees and charges for more information.

Do I need my e-token to process a BPAY® reload?

Yes, you may need your e-token to complete your BPAY® reload.

How long does a BPAY® reload take to process?

BPAY® files run twice a day at 2pm and 6:30pm Victorian time Mon-Fri and can take 2-3 business days to hit your FXgo account.

Are there any countries the FXgo® card cannot be used?

The card cannot be used in countries subject to economic and/or trade sanctions. Some countries may also have government restrictions on currencies you can use. Currently, the card cannot be used in Afghanistan, Burundi, Belarus, Central Africa Republic, Congo, Cuba, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Mali, Myanmar, Palestinian Territory, Somalia, Syria, Sudan, South Sudan, Tunisia, Venezuela, Yemen, Zimbabwe or North Korea but this list may change from time to time. Please make sure you also check the Website, with Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Office of Foreign Assets Control and with the embassy of the country you plan to visit for any restrictions that may apply.

Can my backup card be used at the same time as my primary card?

You can only have one card active at one time, your backup card can only be activated if you cancel your primary card for reasons such as loss, theft or damage.

How do I reload money onto the FXgo® card?

You can transfer funds from your Bendigo Bank account to your FXgo® card at any Bendigo Bank branch prior to travelling.

Other options include reloading money onto the card via BPAY® using the app, Manage My Account or calling 1300 790 065 or +61 3 54857899 if calling from overseas.

What is the maximum amount I can spend on the card each day?

The maximum value of EFTPOS/POS transactions per 24 hours is $9,000.

How do I activate my FXgo® card?

Your card can be activated via Manage My Account, FXgo® app or by calling 1300 790 065 when calling from anywhere in Australia or +61 3 5485 7899. You will also be prompted to set up a username and password.

Do I need to be a Bendigo Bank customer to purchase an FXgo® card?

Yes. FXgo® can only be purchased with funds transferred from a Bendigo Bank account.  Call into your nearest Bendigo Bank branch to open an account and purchase an FXgo® card on the spot.

What happens if the card is lost, misused or stolen?

If your primary card is lost or stolen you must first contact the FXgo®Customer support team on 1300 790 065 when calling from anywhere in Australia or +61 3 5485 7899 to report this.

If you have your backup card with you you’ll be able to use it in the same way you used your primary card once the primary card has been closed.

If you’ve lost both cards, an emergency replacement card or cash can be arranged within 24-48 hours.

How much can I load/reload onto an FXgo® card?

  • The minimum load value is $50 AUD or currency equivalent.
  • The maximum you can load in any 12 month period is $50,000 AUD or currency equivalent.
  • The minimum reload value using BPAY is $1 AUD or currency equivalent.
  • The maximum you can reload via BPAY is $10,000 AUD or currency equivalent.

What is the maximum amount I can withdraw from an ATM each day?

The maximum you are able to withdraw per 24 hours is $2,500.

Some ATM operators may set lower limits.

What currencies can be loaded on the card?

You can load up to 10 currencies on your FXgo® Card including:

  • United States Dollars
  • New Zealand Dollars
  • Singapore Dollars
  • Great British Pounds (Sterling)
  • Canadian Dollars
  • Japanese Yen
  • Eurozone Euros
  • Hong Kong Dollars
  • Thai Baht
  • Australian Dollars

Currencies can be loaded at the time of purchasing your FXgo® Card in-branch or using BPAY.
