What is Touch ID?

Touch ID is Apple's fingerprint authentication technology, which means you only have to use a finger to login to e-banking when using the Bendigo Bank app on a Touch ID-compatible Apple device (iPhone 5s or later, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, or iPad mini 3 or later operating on iOS8 or higher).

More recent Apple devices offer Face ID (instead of Touch ID) which is Apple's facial recognition technology.

The Bendigo Bank app supports both technologies depending on what each device has available.

To enable Touch ID or Face ID you must already have a Four-digit PIN set up for logon within the Bendigo Bank app. If a Four-digit PIN is in place, you will be offered the choice to enable Touch ID or Face ID. Once enabled, simply tap the biometric icon on the Bendigo Bank app home screen and scan your fingerprint or face to logon.
